Self Proclaimed Hot Tempered Latino, Carlos, Lord of the Carlosx360 Network must have mouthed off one too many times with XenForo moderator Brogan, on Brogan's ClipTheApex.com website. Brogan uses ClipTheApex to talk about F1 racing, and also distributes his popular "Featured Threads" addon, which can also be used as a type of portal. Carlos has already been banned on XenForo for spectacularly flaming out. It appears that Brogan or Jeremy might have been the ones Carlos had a problem with when he was banned: https://twitter.com/username/status/563807771817037824 View: https://twitter.com/CarlosX360/status/563807771817037824 https://twitter.com/username/stat…

All the banning, restricting and un-banning of Paul just to score a point on ROD's widget. Entirely forgetting the nature of what it means for a member to be banned, restricted and un-banned. They are so randomly fluctuating now that all the real meanings has been lost. What is left is nothing more than a joke. Not quite my vision to have this place infested with alien members. Don't really see any different from just having guests posting shits. We need more members like Microsoft Edge instead of these anonymous. I'm not blaming ROD though since it was I who declined the offer to admin this place. Heh, guest posting shits, don't we already have #11 for that? How m…

As in, being in a pickle... I love the explanation Howard gives for his actions (or lack of them) looking like favoritism toward vbresults. XenForo Staff Competing with Community Developers Discusson WTF?! :joy::laughing: That has to be the funniest thing that I've read in at least the last two weeks. All of the members on TAZ are being negative toward vbresults and Howard suddenly decides to become neutral on an issue? I guess it's just a coincidence and there's a first time for everything.

Needless to say, the hypocrisy of Amazon Pimping Service doesn't escape me. Arguing on dumdumcom that "Post something he [Mr. V] disagrees with on any site and you will be banned from TAZ." when clearly that isn't the case at all. Rather, the reason for the ban was pretty much straight forward due to his distasteful remark regarding the Hood case. Since TAZ is a commercial forum, I find such action by Mr. V as quite frankly is the default standard that you can also observe on any other for profit establishment. Mr. V isn't running a non-profit freedom of speech forum after all (as shown by the lack of discussion about the Hood case there - compare to Brivium for example).…

I've been pondering this for weeks and I think now is the right time for me to stop, at least for the moment. From the very beginning, I have no interest whatsoever in attacking GTB's forum. I've stated again and again that GTB's users membership are primarily wackos. The best way for him to have an active forum is to run a troll forum just like the one that Mark has. But GTB being the absolute dumdum that he is can never wake up from his pipe dream and thus his ultimate mistake has left him with an empty forum. Now that I have the place where I long to be, that is this forum, I don't see any need for me to return to GTB's empty forum any longer. Sure, I still love…

I see things like this often on The Admin Zone, and the staff never says anything about it to the member who posts something unethical. Remaining silent on something like this tells me that you condone it. Stressed.. almost giving up How is "bolo2491d" fetching emails off of targeted forums? Is he somehow scraping them from competitors in the same niche? Why hasn't a TAZ staff member questioned him about this?

Probably the shittest thing that calls itself "responsive". From Mark.B's adminflipflop site, what the hell is this "Choose Action" button? It doesn't do anything, FFS, and takes up most of the space of each post.

GTB recently (4/1/2016) opened chat back up on general-discussion.com after complaining about bugs and performance issues with previous incarnations with it. In a small twist, or perhaps an April Fool's Day experiment, he allowed guests to post to the chat, and obviously, ludicrous hijinks ensued. A little bit of it got captured, it went a little bit like this. ----------------------------------------------------------- Guest#4154 An hour ago you full of bad ideas sometimes, but I still like you GTB GTB An hour ago I can see it was a bad idea allowing guest shouts here. Best to just completly ignore you lot from on I think Guest#4154 An hour ago GTB are…

To quote The Sandman: Second, if there is *any* chance that I would even consider to allow some discussion it would only be after we begin to approach our former level of meaningful, on-topic discussion. Water bottles, Sci-Fi, Striving and Ozzy can only carry so much weight.

Quoted from a thread on GTB's forum: Gary (I know you will read this), you can't do things like Ban people because they don't post as often as you would like them to post Publish your members IP addresses Steal topics from your members forums Ban someone because two people who hardly post on your forum don't like them Gossip about other people Go all out ape-shit when someone tries to do something nice for you (Adam) etc without it eventually pissing everyone off. YOU are to blame for the topics posted here about you and your forum. You should apologize to Sheldon and Vice, and take them out of your dumb-ass restricted group. People will respect you…

Ok, so "trustworthiness" is a vague term. What I'm ranking the following individuals and forums on are: 1) Can I trust the admin with my email and IP information 2) Can I trust that moderation on the forum will be fair? 3) Can I trust that the forum will be around more than 2 years? A lot of forums are around, and this obviously isn't a complete list, so I'm just adding ones that the small group of membership will be familiar with. Feel free to add any I forgot. I'll provide my ranks and opinions on 5 of them. 1) XenForo.com. XF forums have a love-hate relationship with a lot of their members. They either love the moderation style, or hate it. I think it's been p…

Bans people inconsistently that may or may not be an admin at a competing site, yet, suffers a security breach at the hands of a hacker because of a compromised staff member's account, but doesn't ban or limit the hacked account?

... Then locks the thread. Doesn't make much sense to me. Vice makes a suggestion, gets mercilessly attacked for suggesting it, and The Great Howzini interjects... So he encourages Vice to continue pointing out the problems with TAZ, but then locks the thread. Then Howie received a bunch of high fives for his inconsistency. Feedback - A return back to the old policy?
