Paul Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Ozzy and Gary posting as guests on dumdum's forum . It's funny that Gary's too stupid to be insulted by the way Ozzy posts on his forum. Gary, you should ask Ozzy to buy you a XF license and some decent hosting. Ozzy enjoys buying things for people, remember he bought all of those domains for fish kid? He might already have a spare XF license you can use if you ask him nicely. Better yet, you two should become partners and start a new forum board together. 1 Quote

Paul Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 If you buy anything it's with tax payer money, dumdum. I haven't sold any licenses because I don't need the money, unlike you I can afford to hold on to them if I don't get what I'm asking. Haven't you sold every commercial license you ever owned because you needed money? You had a XF, vBulletin, WoltLab and I believe a IPS license, and now they're all gone and you're stuck with using phpBB 3.2 :joy: . Quote
13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I recently had someone asking me if I was interested in selling one (or both) of my XF licenses (in fact, got 2 inquiries about the XF and 1 about WBB). Told them that I wasn't interested in parting with the licenses. Pretty much the same reason. Don't need the money from them for anything and you never can tell if I may find someone I want to "partner" with later and use the licenses for a site.... you know, let them run it and just give me a fancy title. :p Quote
Scrotnig Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Why does Gary not understand that my two vB5 forums are DEMO sites. They are not real communities and I do not want them to be. I don't want real people signing up there, unless they want to test the features. That's the whole point. Quote "GRIMM is a GAY LORD. And I don't talk to GAYS!" - Gary Thomas Bolton, 2002
13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I guess English is just to difficult for some people to understand. Here, let me highlight the part you apparently have a comprehension problem with. you know, let them run it and just give me a fancy title. It really helps if you quote the entire pertinent portions instead of trying to look like a worm and only what supports YOUR belief. Quote
13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Poor Gary.... my first class is this coming Friday. Until I get in there I'm not planning on "self teaching" myself and then have to break any bad habits. I'm currently reading "Essential Elements for Guitars" before hitting the instruction time that we will use it in. Quote

13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Gary...learning a guitar (or any instrument) is like learning English. Anyone can learn the worlds (notes) but learning how they go together to make sense (think proper use) is your base. Until you can learn that you don't do well. I'm smart enough to know that it's much easier to NOT have a bad habit from being self taught that has to be broken. These lessons are much more than simple guitar lessons... it's also covering music theory. It's readily apparent you've never had any instruction in music. Even in band in school you had a lesson that you are given and then you practice THAT lesson and then progress upwards - while also practicing what you were instructed on prior in prior lessons. Guess what... I haven't had the first lesson to do the practice with yet since I don't have a time machine and can't make Friday come today. This is exactly the type of statements that you frequently get ripped about. You don't apparently think before you put your foot in it. Edited July 2, 2017 by 13511 Quote

Sandyman Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I can also chew gum and type at the same time without smacking my lips. :scream: Wow, Gary is really upset at you for taking guitar lessons...just like last week when he flipped his shit and shut everything down because you could afford to spend $3K on something and he can't. The Sunday rage is building for sure! Then you have Ozzy over there posting as a guest and pretending to be like Gary based on the bad grammar...didn't Gary already fall for this once or twice? lols silly old man! Sandyman Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Gary...learning a guitar (or any instrument) is like learning English. Gary doesn't understand this part @tracy perry, as you can clearly tell he doesn't know English very well and anyone that tries to read anything the imbecile posts on forums is able to see that. Take for example the reply from Paul yesterday on TAZ about vb.org, Gary IS the joke in that thread, it just takes him a day or two to see it before he attacks Howie. Also, I doubt Gary was ever in Band or Music class, my guess is he could never afford an instrument to play. Quote Donald Trump is living RENT FREE in Tracy Perry/One-Up's head

Then he will really have a shit fit when he finds out I've also got another Martin coming in.. this one is a 00-17SE. It's a 12 fret 00 size (little smaller body than my OM-28). So, add another $2000 to that $3000 and you have my current "fun money" spent. I've now got about $800 left in my "splurge" fun account and need to start rebuilding it. The Sunday rage is building for sure! I fully expect a wipe within a day or so again. When is the last time you spent $5K on anything? You were happy you could afford the 5 bucks for a WOT premium subscription, how long did it take you to save for that? 13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Again Gary, you lose. I don't need to use a word processor... I simply type into Redactor and it works just fine. And no, apparently you don't. There are different level of lessons. You can do what you think lessons consists of - just the simple learning of the chords, etc... or you can learn the theory behind the music as well. This allows you to fully understand what you are playing and gives you some idea of what kind of changes you can make with/to the music that is esthetically pleasing to most people. Quote
13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 That is so pretty, and I don't know anything about guitars! It has mahogany sides and back which will give it a different sound than my current OM-28. It's also designed more for "blues" style music and fingerstyle playing (notice the lack of a pick guard). It being a 12 fret instead of the 14 fret that is on the OM-28 it will most likely have a more balanced sound. The style is the whiskey sunset for the finish. The other was a black smoke - but I didn't like it as well. Quote
13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Guess what Gary.. it's only money (and yes, they were purchased with cash and not credit as I stated earlier about my fun account being depleted to $800 now) and it's something I wanted to spend it on. Whether I use it or not is besides the point (and you aren't a fortune teller so you don't know the future). It must really chap your ass that folks can afford to do this type of stuff. Jealous much? Green with envy yet? If so, you should have gotten a job when you were younger that would give you a retirement that you could do the same on. I started working at 18 in a career field that allowed me to keep a consistent retirement fund being built up. Oh, and when they come in I'll take them out and get the wife to take a picture of me sitting in the convertible that I don't own in the driveway of the house we don't own next to the 4Runner we don't own to show you that I don't have them. It's no different than someone who likes fishing having rods equipped with casting reels, spinning reels and spincasting reels. Or a hunter that owns a bolt action 300 Winchester Mag, a bolt action 30-06 Springfield, a lever action 45-70, a few .22LR in various actions, a semi-auto shotgun a pump shotgun, an AR style, etc. A different tool for the appropriate job (blues vs country vs rock). Can you do it all with one.. yeah, but if you can afford the specific tool for the job why not use that. And yes, we can afford it. Kind of like grabbing a pair of pliers to use on a nut instead of the correctly sized box end or open end wrench. And I thought it was readily apparent... I do plan on being able to play them. One thing about me is when I set my mind to do something I end up doing it. I wasn't happy with the Taylor so I didn't want to mess with it. Up to the time we got it the only Martin's I had handled were the dreads and most of them had the V style neck which I didn't like. Edited July 2, 2017 by 13511 Quote

13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Wrong again Gary. 3 vehicles, each with a specific use (see, there is that phrase again). '96 Ford F250 used for hauling heavy loads (think bags of cement, trailer with load of gravel/dirt) - this vehicle averages about 2500 miles a year on it '17 4Runner (used by the wife - one of which I have and you don't) '17 Spider (used by me since frequently the said wife that I have that you don't goes places when I may not go) '05 Yamaha FJR (that's currently for sale - interested in buying it?) As for forums, if you notice... they were on different scripts... can your simple mind grasp a possibility on WHY they may have been on different scripts? And you can never have enough pipes! 5 of my collection are just that... collectors items that will remain in an unsmoked state since they were made in the late 70's and early 80's. Some of the others are estate pipes that I have refinished (nice getting 26 pipes for $30 and finding that many of them are worth $20-$50 each after they have been restored). 13511 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Sorry Gary... last ice cream I ate was a few years ago and was a triple scoop of chocolate almond from Braums in Tyler. It's not something that is kept in our freezer. We do more salmon, lean hamburger meat, ground chuck, chuck roast, a few packages of bison, purple hull peas, cream peas, home made spaghetti sauce, etc. No desserts at all in there. And yes, I do have multiple packages of each of the above in there - again because we can afford it and I like to be able to simply walk into the utility room and choose something for the next meal. If I AM going to do ice cream now I'll go grab some cans of condensed milk and pull my ice cream churner out and make home made. Speaking of which.. think I'll run to the store and pick up some fresh strawberries and some fresh peaches to make some ice cream with tomorrow. Thanks for the idea! Quote
