And Gary would have a shit fit if he was actually on xBox live in the older days. In some of the game chats (actual voice chats) you would hear ALL kinds of shit. One of the funniest was one of my friends girlfriend (she was 24 and sounded about 16) would get online to play some COD or BF. We shall see.. considering that I only picked up the guitar about 3 weeks ago (only on my 3rd lesson)... I'm actually not doing to bad. I am a lot better on the acoustic than the electric. And I'm sure you started playing immediately on the level of Eric, Jimi, Richard or Eddie. And there's a little difference in what is in a teenagers head and an adults. Your head was almost as empty then as it is now. :innocent: Of course, I'm sure your playing was perfect also in style and whatnot and you immediately were able to read all sheet music and had full knowledge of music theory. Oh, I could teach myself if I wanted... but we have a family member (distant) that is young and fairly fresh out of college and gives lessons to help with his income - so I'm more than happy to donate to him. It makes sure that I don't pick up any "bad habits" in playing or anything like that. Plus I'm just not learning tabs, I'm doing the full theory route so the "learning" is slower since you get more crammed into the 30 minutes than just playing tablature music. EDIT: I like my acoustics, but I do have to admit, that Les Paul I have is the bomb. Quote

Of course, you would have to have been living somewhere other than a basement for the last 45 years or so to not have heard it. And yes, that Marshal has a lot of effects on it to learn - it was simply turned on as it came out of the box. If I had plugged into the Yamaha G50-210 it would have sounded very different as that's an 80's era amp that would be "era appropriate" for that song. Quote

A hobby other than sitting at a computer all the time might do you some good. I'm sure you can get a decent cheap guitar from your local Goodwill equivalent, or maybe even checking with some local religious foundations to see if they would be willing to help you out. And, at least I've got the balls to post stuff like that. You, being a ball-less one won't do the same - but of course, that would encompass you having the items to take photos with. Heck, you can't even grab a simple selfie of you and your high end computer system to post. The one thing you DID post a picture of and claim to be yours turned out to be someone else and was used in a youtube video. And to top it off, you are apparently to stupid to realize that the "sound" is coming from the amp effects and NOT the playing/guitar. Also, very few houses in this neck of the woods have basements. We have attics and then some have storm shelters. Curious... did the basement question touch a nerve? If you read what you quoted carefully, you would be able to determine that the "you" is a general "public" you since I try not to speak in the third party much. Quote
