Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Well, 128 members online in the last 24 and..... they've gathered this much: 1 new discussion? 22 messages? Chat room is dead. Forum is dead. Put it out of its misery, please. Quote
Paul Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I have a really hard time believing their "Recently Online" widget. You don't have that amount of members visit your forum and end up with post stats like those. Quote
Administrators Cloaked Posted June 20, 2016 Administrators Posted June 20, 2016 He used to run a fake user script when the site first started. Could be since the site is in the death roll that he installed it again. Quote Forum² - For Forum Enthusiasts SEO Help - Search Engine Optimization Forum
Scrotnig Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 When it says 'New Messages Today'...is that, in the past 24 hours, or since the start of the day (whatever that may be classed as)? Quote "GRIMM is a GAY LORD. And I don't talk to GAYS!" - Gary Thomas Bolton, 2002
Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 When it says 'New Messages Today'...is that, in the past 24 hours, or since the start of the day (whatever that may be classed as)? I'm thinking a set time, midnight. I don't have the addon to look at, but almost certain that's what it is. Quote
Scrotnig Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I'm thinking a set time, midnight. I don't have the addon to look at, but almost certain that's what it is. You would have to hope that was it, because 22 posts in 24 hours would be a bit....terminal. Quote "GRIMM is a GAY LORD. And I don't talk to GAYS!" - Gary Thomas Bolton, 2002
Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 It's sitting at 73 posts right now, for the day. Quote
Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 They have some of the most terrible posts promoted for Featured Threads... Plus that disgusting "Brivium Alert" banner at the top. Quote
Scrotnig Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I don't get to see most of that stuff, as unlike these new johnny-come-latelys, *I* have been banned for over a year! Quote "GRIMM is a GAY LORD. And I don't talk to GAYS!" - Gary Thomas Bolton, 2002
Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 I don't get to see most of that stuff, as unlike these new johnny-come-latelys, *I* have been banned for over a year! I have been banned over a year as well, I think it was a bit before your last banning actually. Plus, I have another account where I can amuse myself there. Quote
SneakyDave Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Why does that Brivium notice re-appear even after you've chosen to dismiss it? Sheldon Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 Why does that Brivium notice re-appear even after you've chosen to dismiss it? Security. They are always having issues. Quote
SneakyDave Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I mean, even for new registrants, it pops up, I dismiss it, pops up on the next page. Christ Howie. Ziggy Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Appears as we have more TAZ shenanigans going on. Seems the top posters block has been extended from a week to who knows, maybe a month. Nice way to fake activity. Also seems like Howards previous statement of no political discussions is out the window, since there is at least three threads discussing the UK exit from the EU. Administrators Cloaked Posted June 26, 2016 Administrators Posted June 26, 2016 Howie will never admit that he has ruined the community. Is that the type of ads he is running with adsense now? Suggestive date ads? Quote Forum² - For Forum Enthusiasts SEO Help - Search Engine Optimization Forum
SneakyDave Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Howie will never admit that he has ruined the community. Is that the type of ads he is running with adsense now? Suggestive date ads? Those are about the only Adsense ads that he allows on TAZ Site Promotion | BASH.zone He still has that Tapatalk ad too, which promises cash monies to site owners that use it, making Howie's eyes bulge. But I've never heard of one site owner ever receiving a check from Tapatalk. Ziggy Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'm surprised no one has reported him for showing two ads together on mobile. Quote
SneakyDave Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Is the rule dor Adsense on mobile, 2 ads per page? I think on desktop, it's 3 ads per page. Adsense might be more interested in the piracy/nulled software discussion, which clearly isn't allowed per Adsense TOS Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
Ziggy Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I think you can not show two adds together, meaning you must have to scroll to see more than one ad on the screen. 1 Quote
SneakyDave Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I have a site with 2, 300px block ads side by side. Those have been running 10 years or so, but are the only ads on the page, but they don't display on mobile. Ziggy Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 "Mobile implementations: The above ad limits also apply to mobile sites. In addition, two or more AdSense ads may not appear on the screen at the same time on a mobile site. Publishers with sites using responsive website should consider that ad units may shift into non-compliant positions as the site scales across different devices." Paul Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'm surprised no one has reported him for showing two ads together on mobile. I don't have time to do it myself... but if someone else wanted to do it Report a Policy Violation - AdSense Help :no_mouth: Quote
Ziggy Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I wonder how they would feel that he charges for a premium account to not see ads, but if you join the wrong site, he makes it so you can't use your account, then you have to view ads you paid to not view. So double paying. Quote
