13511 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I've developed a fondness for the MonteChristo Media Noche's and the Cain F Nub 460's. Good everyday smokes that are pretty consistent from my experience. Quote

13511 Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Those are cigars? I thought you were talking about a sandwich! There is a cuban sandwich called the media noche I believe.. but nope, cigars. The Cain is from Olivia (originators of the Nub series - which I also find to be rather tasty in the habano and maduro lines) and can be a rather strong smoke since it's fillers are long-leaf ligeros from Nicaragua. MonteChristo has been around a while, but the Media Noche's are (at least the ones I've had) a medium smoke with a rather cocoa flavor to the smoke. I have't really found any of the other MonteChristo's that I like. Quote
SneakyDave Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Are those all Nicaraguan cigars? I hope you're not partaking in any illegal contraband from Cuba! Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
13511 Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Are those all Nicaraguan cigars? I hope you're not partaking in any illegal contraband from Cuba! The Nub's are, as are the Cain. The Media Noche fillers are from Nicaragua, Peru and the Dominican Republic. For a "Cuban" I've found that Camacho has some (or did, haven't purchased any in a while) that have some real Cuban tobacco that came over pre-ban. The few that I had were OK... but I'm into a stronger cigar and most "Cubans" are mild to medium typically. They Camacho Pre-Embargos typically go for around $20 each (in singles) and slightly less in a 5 pack. Quote
13511 Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Crap.. just went over to cigarbid.com and saw they have some Pre-embargos in free-fall. work out to about $10 a stick.. may try to snag a 5 pack. 1 Quote
