13511 Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) Hm, what to believe… An article by someone from Harvard or an antidote from Tracy Perry who was a cop somewhere in the middle of bum-fuck-Egypt? Lethality of Suicide Methods Simple fact is... you park your vehicle in a garage, leave it running and shut the garage door... guaranteed way to commit suicide. Take you vehicle, run it up to 100MPH and run into a bridge abutment, pretty much guaranteed you won't live long through it. BTW, you "chart" simply proves my statement... there are many other methods that one can avail themself of to commit suicide. Getting rid of one doesn't get rid of the rest. Oh, and how about the other 42 states in the nation, or maybe something a little newer than quarter of a century old stats? BTW, did you know that with the "banning" of guns in Australia, suicides by hanging increased in number? While firearms are clearly “a huge problem...drug poisoning may be a whole lot more problematic than people think,” said Ian Rockett, a professor emeritus in the department of epidemiology at West Virginia University and an adjunct professor of psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. While firearms are clearly “a huge problem...drug poisoning may be a whole lot more problematic than people think,” said Ian Rockett, a professor emeritus in the department of epidemiology at West Virginia University and an adjunct professor of psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In fact, one more recent study I saw (2020 date) reflected that firearms are only used in 5%-6% of suicides/attempts (source, psychiatric times, June 17, 2020). Keep trying.. maybe one day you'll get a valid point. Edited June 20, 2022 by 13511 Quote
13511 Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) What's going to happen to the Uvlade cops who stood around with their thumbs up their asses while a couple of teachers and a bunch of fourth grade kids were being slaughtered? What do you think should happen? We know you are an "expurt" in expounding on facts you know nothing about, so deign yourself to give us a guideline. And remember, SCOTUS has already ruled numerous times that law enforcement has no duty to protect you or any individual. That duty ultimately falls upon you as an individual. Law Enforcement only has a general duty to protect society, not individuals. Actually, those cases I detailed have been around for a while and are WELL known by many LEO's, especially with the litigious nature of society. You see, even back as far as the early 1980's some of use educated ourselves on court cases that could impact us. They are also well known by those that are 2nd Amendment proponents due to the fact that they PROVE that the police aren't there to protect you as a person, that is YOUR responsibility. I can't help it that some that are discoursing in this topic are about as knowledgeable as a lump of clay and just about as dense. Hell, 2 of the cases were from the 1980's, and the one was from around 2005, so it's not like it's some "recent thang". I have a folder on my Mac that I keep interesting 2nd Amendment case decisions in, which these were 3 of them. Heller vs DC is another important one that I have in that folder. Paul Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Now, if we were walking driving a semi hauling chickens I haven't worked for that poultry farm in about 25 years and I would never pretend that I was an expert in anything just because I did something for a little while or maybe once or twice, unlike you. You try to make everything you say sound like it's absolute fact and you are proven wrong more times than not. I think this goes back to your micro penis issues and needing to feel like you are better than everyone else, just my opinion. What should happen to the cowardly cops from Uvlade, officer Dipshit? First patrol car I drove was a '80 Dodge Diplomutt (318CID motor) with the Federal Twin Beacon overheads. Shortly later the department purchased '82 Chevrolet Impala's and they upgraded to the Federal Twinsonic overheads. Always preferred the Twin Beacon as they light output went much further. I think someone found a way to get rid of a know-it-all pain in the ass cop. Where did anyone say I was "forced to quit". Living in your fantasy world once more? I readily realize that people that can't deal with reality usually have an escape mechanism that they use to enter their alter reality, so maybe laying the pipe down for a break would be beneficial for you? I clearly stated that that I left after seeing that the department was taking NO corrective action towards the actions (or actually inactions) of a proven coward officer and that they were offering no training of note to any other officers. In fact, I got a letter of commendation from the COP, and also from the DA in that incident. Care for me to pull them out and take photos of them to give you yet another major bitch slap since apparently you are missing the "joy" from the first one? Didn't hurt that the pay for taking over the Network Admin position with the city also came with a SIGNIFICANT raise (36K a year to 52K a year starting). I can see how a truck driver that has limited abilities to further their earning potential may have issues with understanding that. Edited June 22, 2022 by 13511 Quote
13511 Posted June 21, 2022 Author Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) What should happen to the cowardly cops from Uvlade, officer Dipshit? You never gave a straight answer. You never asked a direct question.... you implied that they should be sued... I simply responded that anyone suing won't stand a chance, and gave you pertinent case law that supports that position - case law that has been in existence since the early 1980's. I have also further clearly stated that the majority of officers that work as a SRO or within a 1-12 grade ISD school environment don't have what it takes to actually BE patrol officers. As too what should happen to the chief? Exactly what several family members are pushing for. He should be terminated from his position. Then that ISD needs to hire a competent chief and be willing to pay for the pertinent training to get their "officers" up to "real" police standard. I feel incredibly sorry for any normal civilian that ever had to deal with you while you were in law enforcement, it must have been a nightmare for them. Care for me to further take some photos of the letters of thanks from individuals (some of which I arrested and processed into jail) to give you another MAJOR bitch slap? You must really enjoy being slapped around? Is that your masochistic tendencies coming to the forefront? Just one more instance of your "expurt" knowledge and ability to jump to a totally unsupported conclusion. If they were being disruptive in the meeting, then what occurred is what normally happens when a city council meeting gets out of hand. It's recessed until the ones causing the disruption leaves or are "escorted out". Have had to deal with that at 2 of the 3 cities I've worked at since I typically worked an evening or power shift, which encompassed the time period that city hall council meetings occurred. Now, if they were simply recording, it's a public meeting in a PUBLIC building. They have a RIGHT to record there, which has already been affirmed by numerous first amendment cases that have gone up to SCOTUS level. The pity is that many officers (not as many as used to be) and City officials are NOT aware of that.... and they frequently try to intimidate those that are exercising their constitutional rights. I frequently watch a LOT of first amendment auditor videos on YouTube and it still amazes me at the ignorance of law enforcement, City officials and even Post Office officials when it pertains to the right of public recording. Doesn't matter if they have a sign posted about no video recording. If it's a government owned building, opened to the general public they have a right to record there. There are exceptions to where one can record, so you do have to be aware of them. Edited June 21, 2022 by 13511 Quote

I can see how a truck driver that has limited abilities to further their earning potential may have issues with understanding that. LOL, that's it? I only drive a truck part time now and make well over $52K a year. I work with owner operators who make $200K to $300K a year without even trying. The owner of the last company I worked for started out (and still is) as a truck driver and is worth over $300 million now, he owns a golf course, a large private jet and a couple of race tracks among other things. I love that you and Gary think you're better than anyone else doing any kind of job. This is the type of idiot that has NO business owning a firearm... I didn't bother watching any of the videos you posted because I really couldn't give a fuck. I'm not 100% against everyone owning a gun. There are obvious people who shouldn't be anywhere near them and then there are people who just aren't smart enough to be in possession of them, they are people who are bound to have bad things happen to them because they're idiots, like Gary, for instance. There are also semi intelligent people who think they know everything and believe they can do no wrong, like yourself, and those people shouldn't be around guns either. Quote
Paul Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 LMAO! I just Googled “average Texas police officer salary” and got “$52k to $70k a year” as a result. I’m guessing you can make $70k a year if you live in a city like Huston or Dallas and if you live in a smaller city it’s $52k or less. This dumb truck driver made $70k last year only working 14 days a month (12 hour days). I also work for a union and make $26 to $60 an hour depending on what day of the week it is and what kind of job I’m doing, lol. Keep on believing you’re better than me, Tiny Dick Tracy, it amuses me that you do. Quote
13511 Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) LOL, that's it? I only drive a truck part time now and make well over $52K a year. Yep, that was the STARTING salary about 18 years ago. What were you making back 18 years ago? Since in 2004 the average truck driver was a median income of $39,520, with a HIGH of $61K (top 10%, and those were OTR drivers not what are classified as local delivery) and a low of $25,740 (bottom 10% most local delivery) during the same time I was making $52K. Now, since you claimed to deliver chickens, that would normally classify as local delivery driving, or at least it does here in Texas. When I retired from the City (about 9 years ago) I was sitting at $73K per annum, 6 weeks paid vacation, 13 paid holidays and 3 weeks of sick time per year (which was allowed to be carried over year to year) along with between 20-30K training budget per year.... and now my retirement check for sitting around on my happy ass is $5318 a month and $248 a month medical insurance (thanks to the wife retiring from the State as a Lieutenant with a State law enforcement agency and hers being free) while getting the joy of bitch slapping you to the curb. Hell, when I got into law enforcement we took home about $700 a week at the department I worked for initially. It's one reason the smaller agencies are looked at as a training ground, as you "cut your teeth" there and then move up into the larger cities and gain a better salary. Since you want to compare ability to draw pay, I'll leave you with this. Currently, for "hourly salary"... I get $175 an hour for AS/400 (now the Power Series) work (not much of it to do now as most have gone to Windows based systems). For Windows based work as an outside contractor for a vendor that is associated with several local Dr. clinics, I make between $125-$175 an hour, depending on the services provided, except for my personal physician, who I do the same work for free. The migration of the VMWare instances to a new blade server (Dell PowerEdge MX740c) and then upgrade of their EMR software (as well as installing the latest VMWare ESXi) I did for one of the clinics over about 14 hours this past weekend pocketed me $2240. And the nice thing was I didn't have to leave the house but for about an hour of that. BTW, while typing this I was also finishing up another 4 hours of work, for another $600. It's not a "steady" job, but averages about 4-10 hours work a week between the various clinics unless we have a major update/upgrade to do at one of them, like with this past weekend. Makes for some really nice pocket change. For the computer forensics I still occasionally do (the training I obtained the last year at the PD and then the time in the IT department at the municipality I retired from), it depends on the client. Attorneys get charged on average $325 an hour (does not include charge for testimony, only for gathering of evidence). Governmental agency is $250 an hour. Private business varies between $250-300. And yes, I was eventually recognized as a forensics expert in the judicial venue and testified in numerous civil and criminal cases as such. Edited June 22, 2022 by 13511 Quote
13511 Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) I’m dying , way to go, One Up! Sorry that it hurts you... but YOU were the one trying to brag and "one up". Just so happens you were using a salary from 18 years ago and apparently comparing it to your current salary.... and since you wanted to "brag" about your "Union" hourly rate, I figured you might like to know what my non-union hourly rate is currently for work I do on the side, while enjoying making almost 70K a year for just enjoying myself in retirement. Some of us are skilled (and trained) in multiple fields. It comes with from an insatiable curiosity about stuff and a desire to learn, even though it may not (at that time) have any application to your current employment. So, as I said, you must really enjoy getting bitch slapped around. Now, care to confirm for us how near I was for your "annual" salary in 2004? Or was that during the period you were flipping burgers at Mickey D's or frying chicken at KFC? Because sure as fuck you weren't one of those owner/operators (and since you want to brag I have several of those that are friends here as well as one that owns his own trucking company with a fleet of 18 rigs, as well as a few friends that own their own oil rig companies and are worth in the hundreds of millions, one you wouldn't know that as he lives on 20 acres of land in a 1800 sq. ft. house and drives a 10 year old Ford F-250). You see, my wife is "old money" in this county, one of her relatives being one of the original big landowners in it, so we associate with a lot of the old/monied names in this area (her cousin Beverly is drawing on average about 25K a month off the active wells she gets dividends from, and over 70% of the well totals are currently shut down). Hell, one of her relatives had a whole plat about 22 miles long and 17 miles wide on average that he and his family owned in the county named after him, with there being a plaque at the county seat honoring him. The "common joke" was that she was related in some manner to about 80% of the county. Edited June 22, 2022 by 13511 Quote
