Getting back to Lewisville PD... was one of the best (and "funnest") departments I ever worked for. Regular training, both classroom and practicals. If you worked power shift (7p-3a) you worked regularly with both the SWAT guys/gals and also the DWI/DUI/Traffic enforcement folks, both in training and also in actual duties. We were not civil service and had one of the best chiefs I've ever had the pleasure of working for. If you were "right" he'd back you all the way (saw him butt heads with the mayor after we arrested the mayors son for being in possession of over a pound of weed).

That was also the department that I got my first Intoxilyzer certification with as the DUI/Traffic officer that was a certified operator got tired of coming in and running the regular DWI's for me and being taken away from his duties. Ended up they sent me for Intoxilyzer certification so I could run my own tests on arrests and also for any other that patrol arrested while I was on and Steve could keep working on his assigned duties of traffic/DWI enforcement. It is also the department that sent me for my SFST and DRE training, receiving acknowledgement as an expert in that field with Denton County, which then followed me to my new department.

That was the department I had left from when I went to the last one that I was involved in the shooting with... and the reason that I was so pissed at the lack of training that they offered the officers compared to what I had come into the department with. I flat out told Pat Henderson (the Chief at the time) that I felt like I had to come in and bat cleanup for his incompetent officers.

I can't claim that our local Braly's is a national chain store because it's a franchise of Ace Hardware (and Mr. Braly, the owner doesn't even do so, he acknowledges that he is an independent store).

Local drivers get an hourly wage generally... long haul drivers get paid by the mile, especially if they are independents. Even most corporate drivers get paid by the mile. There are some outside exceptions that do pay a salary or by a percentage of the load. Every OTR driver (which is 6) I know is getting paid by the mile.

Well well, Hutchison's testimony was really eye opening to those that haven't sold their soul to the anti-christ Trumpty Dumpty. When you consider her age, the fact that she WAS in a position to be exposed to that AND that she was willing to testify under oath (unlike those that are trying to "Trump-splain" her statements away).

Then those on the committee have now announced that even MORE people have come forward after her testimony, and that some of the information will be (in my words) fun to hear for many and dreaded by a certain sect.

And now it's announced that Cipollone has been subpoenaed and agreed to testify under oath. And privilege does not apply or the crime/fraud exception.... which I've got a sneaky suspicion that Trumpty Dumpty will fall afoul of, since there is adequate evidence out there that he was told that his position was not based upon facts of the election being "stolen" from him, and apparently even Cipollone told certain parties in his echelon that their actions could basically get the book thrown at them if Trumpty Dumpty persisted in his desires.

Oh, let's not forget the statements that the long-time Trumpty Dumpty faithful supporter Mick Mulvaney is now making.

Isn't it rather ironic that all of these long-time faithful Republicans are coming out of the woodwork with information and changes in their position. Guess they suddenly caught the RINO disease also.

The major symptom of that "disease" is when you quit worshipping the ground that Trumpty Dumpty treads on and believing all the drivel that spills from his blubbery lips.

 

I also find it rather amusing that NOW Trumpty Dumpty is complaining because "his Republicans" have no representation on the committee. Remind me, who was it that decided to take his toys and run off all whiney when he didn't get his way? Wasn't that one of Trumpty Dumpty's boys that made that decision (most likely at the encouragement of Trumpty Dumpty thinking that if they could keep Republicans off the committee they could just do a Wizard of Oz - don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain - to any results)? And now it's bitiing Trumpty Dumpty in the ass and he has no mouthpieces to talk through except his "MASSIVELY POPULAR" Truth Social and a few other venues, some of which are still awaiting for the executioners blade to drop on their Dominion lie lawsuits.

And let's not forget the PURELY bi-partisan committee that was proposed in the Senate that had an equal number of both parties on each side, had equal ability to subpoena... but a certain party wanted to again play the Wizard of Oz routine of ignoring the man behind the curtain in the hope that if they buried their heads in the sand that it would eventually go away... guess that didn't work out like they expected, huh?

 

Promises to be an interesting next two years. I honestly don't expect Trumpty Dumpty's 2024 desires to rise to much, especially if DeSantis decides to pursue the top slot. DeSantis is MUCH more palatable to the general Republican voter than Trumpty Dumpty currently is, although there is still a noticeable segment of Republicans that don't like DeSantis because of his "Trumpian" association.

Not my problem that this version of XenForo didn't like to pull from meme generator. I've found that with the XenForo proxy (if being used) sometimes being an issue with certain sites and you have to then either download the image and attach directly or put it out on someplace like Imgur.

Wow, even Mick Mulvaney (Trumpty Dumpty's former chief of staff, and a special envoy for Trump to Northern Ireland) says that he would NOT vote for Trump in a primary if he was on the ticket. He further commented that many of the Republicans in Washington see Trumpty Dumpty as "damaged" and they fear that he will weigh down the Republican Party.

Mulvaney also isn't a fan of the 01/06 committee... but he acknowledges that the testimony by REPUBLICANS has been very telling and encourages other Republicans to listen to him. He also said that from indicators that he picked up on, the West Wing was being ran like a clown show. Surprise!

 

Of course, as far back as last year Mulvaney commented that many of Trump's claims about 01/06 were patently false.... so tick one more into the RINO list.

 

Isn't it rather ironic...the majority that support Trumpty Dumpty repeat the same works... "I take the fifth" or something similar.... could that have anything to do with their requests for open ended pardons from Trump?

 

Meanwhile... the Georgia investigations of Trumpty Dumpty are heating up....
