Never mind that the first viable vaccine to market had ZERO financial input from the U.S. government, and was ready well before any U.S. assisted vaccine was.

He's worse than most. He has a bad habit of being unable to tell the truth when it would put him in better standing than what he says. I had a sister just like that, she'd tell a lie or exaggeration when the truth would have been to her benefit. It was a natural behavior that she could never overcome. Trump just HAS to say something that makes him appear to be WonderTastic, even if that statement can be proven to be at the least stretching the truth to the breaking point if not an outright lie. It's as if an internal governor shuts off and his "make me sound GREAAAAAAT! no matter if true or not" switch automatically comes on.

Simple fact is, Trumpty Dumpty was an outlier and couldn't tell the truth if his life or immortal soul (which being such a "devout" Christian he should be concerned with) depended on it. Almost always it has to be about saying something that makes him look like "awesome sauce".

 

One report I saw counted 29 flat out lies by Trump in his first 100 days in office,12 from Obama and 4 from Biden (of course, Biden's is low because he can't/doesn't speak in public much and when he does he pretty much sticks to the script he's been given).

 

Another report stated that six times the "mistruths" of Obama in the first 10 months of their presidency.

 

You see, that was data that was researched after the Trumpty Dumpty crowd used the exact argument you attempt to utilize. They actually went back and researched instead of basing it upon their feelings or personal beliefs.
