I think I read that the CDC lists the horse dewormer as an effective treatment now. I haven't verified that, but if so, how could the science change?

Time and adequate research... most of the other "research" that was done was shown to be extremely shoddy.

 

There are multiple medications that have dual use... the problem is having solid research done to show that. Once a researcher has been shown to be rather shitty in their research, it calls into question ANY further research they are involved in.

As of my last research, ivermectin was still not an approved method of treatment of COVID-19.

 

This is from a nationwide (US) study... of course, the tin-hat brigade will tell you it's only because "there's not money in it".

As I said.. it depends... I have seen peer reviewed subject matter that was later reversed when it was discovered that one of the participants had fudged the material that the peers reviewed.

Have a shitty history of being a really crappy "investigator" and it can come back and bite you in the ass.

In fact, peer reviewing has been shown to be biased in the past. I'd rather see MULTIPLE separate and independent researchers independently confirm something.

And as I have said previously... ivermectin may have had some positive benefits... but those were not proven by data at the time the claims were being made. There are multiple drugs that have that effect of being useful for other issues than what originally designed... the problem with that study is it simply involves Cadegiani, who has already come under fire for fudging his studies.

And those that were consuming horse paste were the worst of the ivermectin groupies. Kinda like folks that consume Tide pods.
