The Switch to IPB

I am a xenforo fan. Problem is they seem to have no direction. As Sheldon said in the shoutbox it's been 2 months of staying at home and nothing new on the horizon.

 

I have used IPB in the past. I am probably going to put up a test site so everyone can give IPB a whirl.

 

I moved away from vbulletin years ago because of the lack of direction. Guess who was project manager back in those days. You got it. The same person that is now part owner of xenforo.

I would move this site to IPS before XenForo 2 if you have a choice of both options. Paul's site is way better than here running IPS.

Time to wake up. They avoid even showing their faces on their own company forum so nobody knows if they are working on the product or not. They don't answer any bugs reported hardly, well Mike does but only now and then now. They even changed announcement topics so they all get posted under one XF generic account (so you don't know who posted it), even answering bugs reported at times with the same generic account. It like they just want to hide themselves all the time so you have no idea if they are even working on the product much.

 

The main owners have not changed from how they was at vBulletin. Anyone new going to XF Form, it just looks like Chris D is running the whole show on his own.

Yes, either would work. Ozzy tries to take the piss out of Gary more than just about anyone else but it doesn’t seem to bother Gary too much.

The test import failed miserably. Got an error about image processor.

 

Not going to fuck around with this too long. If the issue can't be resolved then on the xenForo 2 we go.
