Paul Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Stewart Copeland is such a bad ass drummer, he's probably my favorite. Quote
SneakyDave Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 That's the police world tour I saw about 10 years ago. Great show. Probably in my top 5 concerts Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone

SneakyDave Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 It was a great show. And I thought for sure it was going to be sold out, but for whatever reason, the arena was only about 2/3 full. Tickets were crazy expensive, but because they hadn't toured in 25 years or so, I thought it would have been sold out. This is basically the same concert I saw on 5/14/2008 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reK0S5O_gSI View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reK0S5O_gSI 1 Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
SneakyDave Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 This is a good clip of a live performance in 1978 demonstrating some of the punk energy they had before they got famous 1 Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone

Paul Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Probably the best song to come out of the 90''s and probably the best song since. Quote
SneakyDave Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 I agree. Heard my one of my daughters listening to that a few months ago. They thought it was a new song! Paul Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 I agree. Heard my one of my daughters listening to that a few months ago. They thought it was a new song! The lyrics aren't very profound but it's one of the very few songs that can get me close to crying when I listen to it. 1 Quote
Paul Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 This gets me emotional too but in a different way than the Alice In Chains song. It's amazing that so many people with completely different lives can come together and do something like this. I bet most of the people in that audience weren't even alive when the song was released. Paul Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Nanu Nanu Damn, he sounds almost exactly like him. Is this going to be on Netflix? Quote
SneakyDave Posted October 14, 2021 Author Posted October 14, 2021 I wish it was but it doesn't appear so Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
Paul Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 We got back from the concert this morning. It was awesome. Mick, Keith and Ronnie have a hell of a lot more energy and stamina than I do. I was surprised that they performed this song and was glad that they did. It's just a random video I found on YouTube, it's not mine. CLT airport in Charlotte, NC (where we got our connecting flights) is an f-ing dump, avoid it if you can. Quote
SneakyDave Posted October 26, 2021 Author Posted October 26, 2021 That's my favorite stones song. Damn, I would have liked to have heard that live. I've probably posted it multiple times in this thread, lol Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
SneakyDave Posted October 26, 2021 Author Posted October 26, 2021 Not sure how I stumbled upon this guy, I think I was reading a story about the Chelsea Hotel in New York, and this guy was mentioned as having a pyramid room at the top of the hotel. I've never heard of him, but had a couple of early 70's hits. Sounds like a David Bowie clone. SneakyDave Posted October 26, 2021 Author Posted October 26, 2021 Dee Dee Ramone, of The Ramones, released a rap album, that was terrible. He called himself Dee Dee King. Paul Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Sounds like a David Bowie clone. Yes and he sounds a little bit like someone else who I can't think of right now. Even glam rock was better than most of the crap out right now. Quote

Paul Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 The Black Pumas opened for the Stones. This song kicks ass but the rest of the songs they played sounded too similar and blended together. 1 Quote
SneakyDave Posted October 26, 2021 Author Posted October 26, 2021 LOL, this is how you cross genres. It gets worse, here's Chicago's attempt at some kind of urban rap track Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
