Paul Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I just wanted to document the problems Gary is having with different software, when he should be out looking for a job. I'll update the thread when Gary has more issues. "When will the shoutbox be compatible with 3.1 in Beta" Comments posted on articles are counting down to -1 when you delete a guest comment submitted into moderation - WoltLab® ^I saw Alexander Ebert viewing that thread without commenting. He's probably hoping Gary will go away. Or he could be contacting WoltLab's lawyers to have Gary take down the site. Lack of spacing on articles between last line of text and tags displayed - WoltLab® Question about Sitemap path displayed with Beta 2 of WBB 3.1 - WoltLab® ^That one was really funny. Quote
Paul Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 reCaptcha is screwed up on your WoltLab site, dumdum. If you try to submit a comment and check that you are not a robot, it ask you to do the same thing over and over again and wont submit your comment. Quote
SneakyDave Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Yes. You'd think Gary would have that reported that by now. You have to refresh the page, and recaptcha will work again. Maybe phpbb really IS the future? Scrotnig Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Where Gary is concerned, yes it probably is. Quote "GRIMM is a GAY LORD. And I don't talk to GAYS!" - Gary Thomas Bolton, 2002
Paul Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 If Gary joined Fiverr and got paid $5 to make 20 forum posts, with just 560 posts he could afford a XenForo license. Quote
Ruby Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 He would waste most that money on editors and translators. Quote It’s a known fact that Gary Thomas Bolton hates Women, Gays and people with Disability’s. I like to rhyme I like to be funky I’m spunky I like my oatmeal lumpy.

Well, technically, he'd probably get banned before he got paid for those 20 forum posts, so maybe triple that number of posts to consider them "qualifying posts". Ruby Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I bet he’d fuck something up installing XF Quote It’s a known fact that Gary Thomas Bolton hates Women, Gays and people with Disability’s. I like to rhyme I like to be funky I’m spunky I like my oatmeal lumpy.
fool Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Finding bugs in a software is good for everyone. Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Only if they are actual bugs and not a misunderstanding of how the software works. Quote
fool Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Testing software limitations is also good for everyone. Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Sitemap was not an issue, but a lack of knowledge of how the software works. Quote
fool Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Lack of knowledge should be assisted by support staff. Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Lack of knowledge should be assisted by support staff. Pretty sure it was... Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 But the fact remains it is lack of knowledge on how the software works. Think phpBB uses literal paths and no namespace use. Quote
fool Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Lack of knowledge is okay, ask and report it in the forum. Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Lack of knowledge is okay, ask and report it in the forum. Reporting bugs that aren't bugs takes developer time away from developing. Quote
Paul Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 Reporting bugs that aren't bugs takes developer time away from developing. Alexander Ebert didn't even bother replying to Gary's last reported "bug". lol. They probably see Gary's username and roll their eyes. Quote
Paul Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 LOL, I see the shoutbox developer is ignoring Gary as well. Quote
fool Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Unacceptable if and only if Dumdum is a customer. Quote

Digital Phoenix Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 And he's given up on it already. Lol Quote
13511 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Watching Gary with his Gary'isms in the written word, it is no wonder he can not get any job that pays well. Most well paying jobs require some modicum of ability to converse in a written format with more than a middle school level. I find it pretty limited in flexibility, I prefer phpBB for using. Quote
