I think the title is misleading.

This looks to be more of a drug hit, than a rampage.

It wouldn't make what happened any less of a tragedy.

I know what was suggested. No one deserves to die for growing and selling pot. A 16 year-old kid was among those who were shot to death.

If we would somehow ban illegal drugs from the US, these types of killings would never happen. Wait...

Are you 100% certain that's all it was about? Or is that all that has been released?

There's more to it. You don't get an 8 person mafia style killing over pot.

Well, the 2015 is already incorrect based on what they call a mass shooting.

The one in Roanoke (Moneta) Does not fit their clam of what standard they have.

Gun Violence Archive has always used the FBI derived definition:

FOUR or more shot and/or killed in a single event [incident], at the same general time and location, not including the shooter.

Until they correct that, who knows what other "dots" are incorrect.

That definition is used starting from 2016.

2016 Methodology Changes

A note that the data on shootingtracker.com will now comply with the standard Gun Violence Archive methodology on how mass shootings are counted.

Gun Violence Archive has always used the FBI derived definition:

FOUR or more shot and/or killed in a single event [incident], at the same general time and location, not including the shooter.

This difference is that we do not count the shooter among the victims when determining if a shooting reaches the threshold of Mass Shooting. It insures a clear separation between victims of a shooting and those who perpetrate the crime. GVA also does not parse the definition to exclude any type of gun violence such as gang shooting or domestic violence. The definition is purely numerical and reflects ALL shootings which reach that statistical threshold.

US mother accidentally shot dead by two-year-old son

A two-year-old boy has accidentally shot and killed his mother in the US city of Milwaukee after finding a gun in the back of their car.

The woman, Patrice Price, had been driving a car owned by her security guard boyfriend who had left his gun in the car, her father Andre said.

Milwaukee police said she was shot once in the back while driving on a local highway on Tuesday morning.

Last month, a four-year-old boy in Florida shot his mother, Jamie Gilt, in similar circumstances.

A gun had slid from underneath the front seat of the car to the back and he unbuckled himself to get it. Ms Gilt survived the shooting.

I'm more afraid of Americans with guns than I am of terrorists.

Canada has extremely loose gun laws, but they don't have a 'gun crime issue'. Why do you think that is?

No, they're not.

No, they're not, what? Have extremely loose gun laws?

I thought they were on par with the US laws, but it seems they might be stricter.

How American gun deaths and gun laws compare to Canada's

Maybe if we clone Canada's gun policies, that will solve the problem.

No. Those are too dangerous.

Maybe boards, with nails in them.
