13511 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Ummm, and what exactly does the sticker to honor the cops killed have to do with Kaepernick? If you are replying to Cuckoo for CoCo Puffs, he will try to take the conversation off on a tangent. It's like his mind can't follow along a discussion thread for more than 3-4 words. And I wouldn't pay him much mind... as he doesn't even live in the States and has no vested interest. The ever classical definition of a keyboard warrior. He's pussification personified. Quote
fool Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Defending and protecting imply heroic actions. America attacked the Nazi, not the other way around. Business was booming between the US and Nazi Germany until Hitler became too greedy and start to threaten American ally (Britain). Free speech is like a zeitgeist, it will come eventually whether Nazi won or lost the war. Quote
Sheldon Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Defending and protecting imply heroic actions. I defend and protect a cut on my finger with neosporin and a bandaid. So, that's implying those two are heroic? Free speech is like a zeitgeist, it will come eventually whether Nazi won or lost the war. You can only assume. You cannot possibly predict the future. Quote
Paul Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 And I wouldn't pay him much mind... as he doesn't even live in the States and has no vested interest. Then he can still travel to North Korea. Quote
Sheldon Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I was disappointed in the Steelers. Allegedly, they were all told to stay in the locker room as a sign of unity, but Alejandro Villanueva, a US Army captain, decided he was going to salute as it was his duty. Just ran across this Dave, quoting Ben Roethlisberger: "I was unable to sleep last night and want to share my thoughts and feelings on our team’s decision to remain in the tunnel for the National Anthem yesterday. The idea was to be unified as a team when so much attention is paid to things dividing our country, but I wish we approached it differently. We did not want to appear divided on the sideline with some standing and some kneeling or sitting. As a team, it was not a protest of the flag or the Anthem. I personally don’t believe the Anthem is ever the time to make any type of protest. For me, and many others on my team and around the league, it is a tribute to those who commit to serve and protect our country, current and past, especially the ones that made the ultimate sacrifice. I appreciate the unique diversity in my team and throughout the league and completely support the call for social change and the pursuit of true equality. Moving forward, I hope standing for the Anthem shows solidarity as a nation, that we stand united in respect for the people on the front lines protecting our freedom and keeping us safe. God bless those men and women." 2 Quote
Kent.S Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Interesting. I see the same thing happen on here with people trying to talk on an intelligent level with Tool as people did on TAZ talking to CarpChicken. Both Tool and CarpChicken can not stay focused on the discussions at hand and they both have a one track mind. There is no talking to people of that nature, they dumb down every discussion they engage in. Them two would be perfect with each other running a forum or a blog. Quote
