Paul Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Besides Heineken and Stella Artois what other good imported beer can you find in the US? I've tried Peroni and wasn't too impressed (I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again). 1 Quote
SneakyDave Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I like Grolsch. More stores and restaurants are serving it since they started using the non rubber stopper caps. If you like Heineken, I'd suggest giving that one a try. If you like Heineken, I'd suggest giving that one a try. I've never had it but will pick some up the next time I'm at the supermarket. Bass Ale and Fat Tire are pretty good. Never had either but I hear a lot of people say they like Bass Ale, I'll have to give it a try. Fat Tire is a Belgian styled American beer which I can't remember seeing in my small city, I'll keep my eyes open for it. Quote
13511 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Only beer I've found that I like are some of the Shiner Bock (US made, Texas to be exact). The Blonde and the Blonde Strawberry is pretty good. Only like the Blonde Strawberry every now and then as it's flavor can get "annoying". Quote
Paul Posted August 19, 2017 Author Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) Just had a Carlsberg with dinner :emoji_beer:. I can't believe I found this beer in my little city... I've had it in Europe so I knew it was good, but never imagined I could find it here. If you find this beer and have the choice between buying it in a can or a bottle, go with the can and pour it in a glass so you don't get the skunky taste/smell that comes with beers in green bottles. Paul Posted August 19, 2017 Author Posted August 19, 2017 And I had my Carlsberg in a Schott Zwiesel lager beer glass that arrived last Thursday (I bought a set of 6 glasses) :). Paul Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 It's like the Stella. Gotta drink em in the appropriate chalice Yeah... straight from the bottle is good, lol. I like drinking my booze from nice glassware, I have a set of Riedel wine glasses for when I'm having a glass of red wine (Cabernet/Merlot) as well, it adds to the experience. Quote
SneakyDave Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 I'm pretty white trash. Can or bottle normally for me. My wife is strictly a Cabernet drinker now Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
