13511 Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 For now at least. Amazing how much easier it is to play the electric guitars than the acoustic. Of course, it has a lot to do with the difference in the string tension. Pretty sure it would have taken a lot longer to build up the callouses on the tips of the fingers if I had started with electric instead of acoustic. Oh yea, what's a guitar pron thread with the pron! Guest Phoney Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So you sold your Trailer since, now your precious motorbike is up for sale as well. Hmm... you selling these things now to pay for the these other things you couldn't afford? Seems odd you've gone from spending money like water - to now listing items you already had for sale? Quote

Some people get bored with things and tend to get rid of stuff just because a person sells something of doesn’t mean they are out of money. 13511 Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 (edited) So you sold your Trailer since, now your precious motorbike is up for sale as well. Hmm... you selling these things now to pay for the these other things you couldn't afford? Seems odd you've gone from spending money like water - to now listing items you already had for sale? Considering how long the trailer has been sitting in the shed and how much dust it had gathered on top of it - saw no point in keeping it if not going to use it. I think no use in around 18 months counts as "not being used". The FJR is also up for sale if you'd be interested in it. Got to many friends that have been hurt (and 2 killed) lately riding the things in this area. The convertible is almost as much fun and MUCH safer. I won't lie and say I don't miss riding the bike, but I haven't been on it in over 6 months now. If I could have found a trailer hitch for the Spider that did not require me to butcher it to work (Mazda Miata one would work with said butchering) I would have kept the trailer.... but even now there are no hitches out for that specific car. It would have been VERY handy to have the trailer to pull behind it on longer trips and would not have had much of an effect on the car. BTW, the guitars are already paid for so how do you classify as "couldn't afford" I don't fully grasp. People do save money for stuff - and to be honest, I was actually working on saving up for a new(er) Ranger bass boat, but realized I would use it as much probably as the last boat we had - which was maybe 6-10 times a year. Investing 20+K in a boat that is rarely used is rather stupid to me. Contrary to popular opinion, we don't have unlimited storage around our residence - so when I do not use something for an extended period of time I will tend to get rid of it either by selling it, donating it to a charity or like I did recently with the camping stuff, which was putting it on the curb with a big sign that said "Free to good home". It lasted about 30 minutes out there and was all gone. If I was "needing money" then I could simply have saved that stuff and had a yard/garage sale. Edited August 6, 2017 by 13511 1 Quote

13511 Posted October 4, 2017 Author Posted October 4, 2017 Nice collection. There are a few more I want to get.... right now I'm working on learning several Christmas songs for the party in December for the Dr's office I do some work at. Want to have them memorized so figured I'd get an early start. Was getting frustrated but the other day it all started to come together. Still having fun with chord transitions, but that's more muscle memory than anything else. 1 Quote
