Edge Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Confirmed in an interview yesterday with Angus Young for Rolling Stone that the new singer will indeed be Axl Rose. Angus wished Johnson well on his hearing issues and his future. Also confirmed, AC/DC will be joining the Not in this life time stadium tour this summer as opening support act for Guns and Roses. Axl will be singing in both bands. I think there is a lot more to all this and look forward to Johnson releasing a book in the near future telling it all. Quote
Sheldon Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Axel is not AC/DC. I'm hoping this is very brief. From weekday was said before, this isn't anything final. Quote
Edge Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 They just need to cancel rest the tour and call it a day. They had an amazing run but no one will ever replace Johnson. They got very lucky once replacing Scott as they weren't mainstream metal yet. But they won't be that lucky now a second time around. Quote
SneakyDave Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Axl didn't even want to sing in his original band, but he wants to cover for Jones? I wouldn't buy tickets to see that. Sheldon Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I'd really like to see AC/DC, but it's not happening with Axl. Now, he wants to go on an Appetite For Destruction tour, I'm game. Quote
SneakyDave Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 When I heard Axl was going to fill in for Jones, I thought "Wait, isn't Sammy Hagar available? He's used to pussifying good bands". Here's GnR at the Troubadour recently, as a practice set, opening up with It's So Easy. I could watch this for a while. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oBb-bxdwO4 View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oBb-bxdwO4 Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
Edge Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Now, he wants to go on an Appetite For Destruction tour, I'm game. You know there is a reunion tour this summer right called Not in this lifetime.. Dave's video was a warm up show for it. Quote
Sheldon Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I only want songs from Appetite. Nothing more. Quote
SneakyDave Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 They could do the whole Appetite for Destruction album start to back, and I'd be happy. Don't need any of that Use your Illusion crap. Maybe add Patience and Knocking on Heaven's door to fill it out. SneakyDave Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Here's Axl's first live performance in Portugal. Not too bad, but it's not AC/DC. Sheldon Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Jesus... does he have a bag of Funyuns up on that throne? I keep thinking he's going to fall over dead.... he's dying. I'm cereal. Look at this big pile of monkey shit. He's going to die onstage within 5 shows. Quote
SneakyDave Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 He recently broke his leg or something, so I assumed that had something to do with his puffiness. SneakyDave Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 This is pretty spot on: Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
