The DDoS attack on Gary's shared hosting account is still going on, after more than 6 hours of constant hits. He must have a pretty powerful shared hosting account not to have his support team attempt to mediate the problem

I saw NameCheap has shared hosting for something like $9 a year, that's less than a pack of smokes in the UK.

Now, Gary claims that he removed the post detailing all of tool's IP's because he knows none of them were his real IP.

 

So GTB can now identify what a proxy IP is and what isn't, but he can't explain how one IP can show up as 300 visitors to his forum.

As an update to Gary's claim that one of SolidMean's servers is DDoSing his site, I contacted the app05.solidmean.com host (vultr) and his host (web-hosting.com) to get to the bottom of Gary's complaints, because these are very serious allegations.

 

According to vultr, they don't monitor outgoing interfaces from app05.solidmean.com, so they only investigate outbound bandwidth, and investigate when there is a report, or they notice it on their network.

 

According to Gary's host, web-hosting.com/namecheap, Gary hasn't even created a support ticket about being DDoS'd, and have confirmed that the app05.solidmean.com server has "no activity whatsoever" at all with his site.

 

What excuse will Gary use now?

Gary wants me to post a screen shot of the convo, but I can't because it was a pop up chat (try it yourself web-hosting.com - web hosting service. Website hosting for all websites., and click "live chat"), and I don't want to paste together 4 screen shots so that he can say they were somehow doctored. I had the chat transcript emailed to me.

 

I encourage anybody that wants to know the truth about Gary's claims to use web-hosting.com's Live Chat to ask them, and refer to the conversation above.

 

I eagerly anticipate Gary's complaint to vultr about his DDoS problem. He has now switched gears, and claims that maybe it is Paul that is attacking him so mercilessly.

He is banned from my forum due to stealing other topics. If there was a way to keep him from viewing my forum altogether, I would implement it. IP bans are pretty useless.
