Did AWS donate any money to the crowd fund? He seems pretty angry (and low class) for someone who doesn't have anything at stake.

My thought, it wasn't that big of a deal, people are going to attempt to draw more from it than what is really there to the content. I mean really.... do you honestly want to take offense at a tongue in cheek comment. If that's the case, the pussification of the world is rapidly increasing. That comment will only be used as a crutch and an excuse now.

 

Perhaps if Daniel had been working on XenReviews and not reading GTB's site, he'd have made at least small progress on the addon.

This is the post Howie made, calling out, and presumably banning AWS, from TAZ, simply because AWS made a comment about Daniel on another forum. Soon after this, the thread was locked, and then this post was eventually removed.

AWS mentioned "pimping out" Daniel Hood's wife on GTB's forum, so it's hard to tell if Daniel was referring to this site (5 or 6 members) or GTB's (10-11 members, 1 user). lol

Uh oh, maybe Howie has been whispering in Daniel's ear?

 

 

I'm going to be leaving them in good hands that I trust will continue to provide support. I'm actually considering leaving them with a big board owner that runs almost all of my add-ons and I trust will have quality devs working on new features and support and won't be going out of business or leaving any time soon. Alternatively I'll just pick a developer or company that I don't think will go anywhere soon and is capable of providing respectable support.

Around the 15th of April my boss told me he was disappointed that I had stopped working overtime like 5-6 months ago. We talked about why I couldn't put the hours in anymore, how even aside from XenReviews, my other add-ons became a full time job. He responded by offering me a new position that involved working exclusively for him. I disappeared from XenForo/other sites for a couple weeks to think it over and discuss it with my wife and stuff. Ultimately decided that it was the best thing for us for the long term future. I then announced that I was leaving the community to accept it.

 

But shortly before that his excuse was working over time almost weekly.. He's so deep in his own lies and bullshit, he can't even keep his lies straight..

I don't think he said that, think he said he works a full-time job and only has so many extra hours he can work on-top of that in his spare time. I don't remember him saying he worked over-time. I have my doubts this Jeff Berry is a real person though... seems only he knew him, he doesn't use forums either, hmm.

Yes, he now conveniently works so much overtime that he couldn't finish XenReviews, or support his addons, or even say "Hiyas!" on XenForo. What happened the 2 years(?) prior to that?

 

Oh that's right, his plan was just to abandon XenReviews and do other addons for AVForums.

That's pretty much the only big red flag in this case since the software itself has not pass the beta label and therefore is still not fit for purpose. This is looking more and more like a scam to me.

I thought Daniel admitted that the beta testers wouldn't get their money back. Just the crowd funders. Why is that? Are they somehow less "screwed" than the crowd funders? Or maybe I misunderstood who was getting trickle down refunds.

AFAIK Amazon Pimpin' Service always use the VPN from his VPS that shows a certain domain, bobsomethingdotsomething or something like that. If this pimp isn't coming from that address, then he's likely a fake.

It may be a coincidence, but the supposed largest "investors" of the Daniel Hood XenReviews crowdfund appear to be turning up the heat on Daniel. Howie says that a "current or future employer" may go searching for information about Daniel. , Soon after that, Alfa1 makes a comment about Daniel Hood's full time employer, and how it this company relies on reputation and trust.
