This was posted by Adam H @ TAZ, and had since been deleted: I stopped using TAZ after recent events but came across this thread when browsing while travelling and thus couldn't resist logging in for one last time. I have to say from two people who I thought might have had a bit of respect and common sense I'm sickened by the open slandering of a previously outstanding member of the community which was respected and very reliable.....who has now very obviously come on hard times and messed up a little. The vultures soon show their true colours in this thread, I mean what kind of complete dick splash tries to bring a man's family into debate in what looks like some kind of ill formed threat! ( added to archive.org for prosperity ) and keeps a thread like this running for this long other than to stimulate his own refund. If this was any other member where staff were not tide up in this entire debate it would have been locked and stayed locked a long time ago. ( Point in case of it being reopened in the first place ) If bringing up his family wasn't enough others are trying to stir up trouble with the company he works for. Lets kick the poor bloke while he's down shall we and lose his dignity, cause trouble at home and make him lose his job.............Absolute disgrace of a community this is turning into, Daniel has messed up and claims to be fixing it but he's not a wealthy medical professional bringing in 6 figures a year so cut him some slack, he's not a scammer , he's obviously struggling and none of this thread will be helping aid your vile campaigns to shame him more than he's already done him self. Richard R also posted a similar opinion as mine earlier today and has since had it removed. I can't believe people are also urging Dan to get into debt to pay the money owed. The crowdfund, which is the only thing Daniel promised to refund, was $3600, and I think there were 14 people involved. Allegedly, Alfa1 was in it for $1000, Howie was in it for a grand, or some large amount also. When Daniel made a statement about taking a loan out from his 401k, I made a comment in the shout archives that that is probably a bad idea (retirement-wise) but probably better than applying for a credit card, just to satiate the TAZ members, lol. Why would he event WANT to pay now? Howie and Alfa1 have already threatened to use his employer as leverage. I'd say "f that, I'm keeping your money". I have to say I agree, The threat of employers being notified and family being brought into the conversation would certainly make me either seek legal advice for slander ( or fear of family safety if you really wanted to play hard lol ) or to go around the guys house and have some chosen words in person. One thing is to be owed money, another things is to potentially seek to ruin someones life as a result. Hell there is a well respected Dev which cost me a buck or two over at XF but sometimes when you risk outsourcing to someone who isnt insured ( which most freelancers / sole traders are not ) you've got to admit defeat and move on.
