Guest Troll Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 His site is so broke, you can't even post on it right now, at least not as guest, it just spins and spins and spins. Quote
13511 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 And the boyo doesn't know that the Fiat 124 Spider is a 2017 model (this is the FIRST year of it) and even if you did find them "second hand" you wouldn't pay much less than "first hand". And no, it's not a 70K car, but simply a nice fun 33K one. And the RAV4 was a 2016 (few people get rid of a car to make a 2016 a "second hand car" that quickly). My wife has a tendency to want a new vehicle every other year or so and the 4Runner is a 5th Gen 2017 that she decided she liked better than the RAV4 (bigger engine for passing, but less fuel economy). His site is so broke, you can't even post on it right now, at least not as guest, it just spins and spins and spins. yep... and that is what made me pretty sure his "guest" posts were from him... as it would time out whenever I was trying to reply over there. 13511 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) Oh, and I loved his "what is required".... I think what he was trying to say is "requested"... but apparently he doesn't know the difference. I can see where that can cause a relationship problem with others. And apparently he doesn't know THAT much about cars.. hell, the RAV4 is a FWD vehicle.. NOT a 4WD vehicle. The 4Runner would come closest - but I couldn't convince the wife to get the TRO as she knew that I'd be taking it off-road and "scratching" up her ride. And the original comment was about having vehicles (1 or more).... don't know where he drug a "has to be a brand new $100K plus vehicle" in from that he apparently changed to (as that's where I start classifying the "expensive" cars to be placed at. Hell, I'd most likely have gotten an Alfa 4c Spider, but I won't buy anything that I have to drive more than 10 miles to take to an official service center. If I was still living in the metromess (DFW) there would have been no hesitation. Edited May 2, 2017 by 13511 Quote

NOT a 4WD vehicle Yeah, I thought his statement about the RAV4 being a poor man's 4WD was a little idiotic, but I thought maybe they made them all 4WD now. Gary seems to think he knows a lot about them Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
13511 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Oh, and Gary.... try "jumping in front of a cell phone camera" to sit in a car with the phone/camera far enough back to get an encompassing picture without someone to hold it. Unless you are a practicing Wiccan and can levitate objects it's hard to do. And it's not worth the time to dig out the old Canon digital camera and the tripod (of which I honestly don't remember where they are - I need to find that camera though). Quote

Gary seems to think he knows a lot about them Hell, none of the new ones come with "4 wheel drive" as us country boys think of real 4WD. They DO come with dynamic torque control all wheel drive, which is something entirely different than REAL 4 wheel drive. The dynamic all wheel drive is more for roadway traction... it would never hold up to what a real 4WD is used for. Give me a 4WD with old fashioned lockers on the front wheel. More hassle to deal with, but they typically held up better than the newer stuff does. Edited May 2, 2017 by 13511 Quote
13511 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Oh, and I don't think Gary want's to get into a discussion (vehicle) in reference to 4WD with a country boy that has LIVED the 4WD life for most of his life. Quote
13511 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Oh, and it really shows how perceptive Gary is. As I've said, I'm about 5'11 (nowhere near 6'4") and 180lbs (which would be around 12.8 stone). Guess he was wishing the former was his actual height and that the latter being his actual weight. Quote
MGM Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Here you go Gary... just for you That sure is a purdy old truck. Looks like it's in great shape too! Quote
13511 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 That sure is a purdy old truck. Looks like it's in great shape too! Thanks! It's in really good shape when you consider it's 21 years old. Has a few dents & dings and a few places starting to show some rust (from doors impacts on the side it looks like). We use it strictly for hauling stuff. Last year we put a whole 1800 miles on it. I go out and start it every now and then to just let the engine run and sometimes drive it for 10-15 miles. When I first saw it I really liked the color and didn't even glance at the price. Think we paid around 27K for it brand new. The diesel added a LOT to the price (it was a $9000+ option). We got a good deal on it because at the time the wife was in her "trade a vehicle in on a new one each year" mode. :D I tend to keep my vehicles (that I drive) for a long time. Quote
13511 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) Last images from me for Gary BTW Gary, just for info, the Catrikes go for around 3K new (which is how we purchased).
