So first of all you’ve got to think back as to what people were hanged for at Nuremberg and Tokyo. And once you think back, the question doesn’t even require a moment’s waste of time. For example, one general at the Tokyo trials, which were the worst, General Yamashita, was hanged on the grounds that troops in the Philippines, which were technically under his command (though it was so late in the war that he had no contact with them — it was the very end of the war and there were some troops running around the Philippines who he had no contact with), had carried out atrocities, so he was hanged. Well, try that one out and you’ve already wiped out everybody.

Sorry... we didn't have "dash cameras" or "body cameras" when I was in the field. And I always had spare bullets... carried 2 boxes of (depending on the year).45 CCI Lawman 230gr HP, .45 Corbon 230gr +P HP, .45 Federal Hydroshok 230gr HP, or .45 CCI Gold Dot 230gr HP. Would take to long to unload that many rounds. Also kept at least 1 box of 9mm, 1 box of .40 S&W and 1 box of .357 and 100 rounds of 5.56mm in the seat case I used (for other officers in case needed).

To bad you've never had the balls to strap on the badge... don't think you could handle most of the calls that you have to go on.

A lot of it has to do with where they are hiring from. Many are coming straight out of the military and were active duty combatants. They tend to bring a lot of that "outlook" into police work with them. It's detrimental to the performance (as far as social interactions go) that their duties entail.

Some of it also has to do with the societal outlook that they were raised under.

Yes, as I wasn't aiming for a kill shot - in fact, hit the arm I was aiming at and disabled him - but not before he got off a shot that placed a .38 round between the victims that he had in an arm bar running lights.

Could have easily placed a round in his head - but my intent was to try to get both to survive. He ended up doing 15 years due to a plea bargain and then died from natural causes about a year after getting out.

No, actually I think the prison food/care/residents caught up to him. He was (at the time he shot is common-law wife) an active correctional officer. Doesn't bode well when one was a CO like he was and then end up in the same penitentiary system you had been so abusive in.
