Why do we fight?

Why are there garden variety of political spectrum and why are they fighting each other? Senseless fighting and senseless killing for senseless ideals, all because we cannot agree on the very basic concept of man and society. What is a man? What is a society? Why must society, government and state exist to begin with? We never really try to come to an agreement about them. Instead we fight and kill each other driven almost exclusively by our evolutionary biology tendencies. That's how the first civilization was started, the first kingdom and the first state. None of them was created from the deep thought of a Buddha sitting and meditating under the Bodhi tree. Carlin couldn't phrase it better;

If we haven't learned to live with each other by now, we never will. I accept the fact that mankind will eventually wipe itself out and try not to think about it too much... I don't, I have better, more important things to do and worry about.

People are more bigoted today toward others' opinions, and have the opportunity and means to let those people know how wrong they are, lol.

 

People kept their opinions to themselves in the past, but when they're forced to socialize together, then the friction starts.
