SneakyDave Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I posted before how I like Disturbed's version of The Sound Of Silence better than Simon and Garfunkel's. Although it's a parody, I like Weird Al's White and Nerdy more than Ridin' Dirty. Other one's I like are Cash's Hurt version And the Foo Fighter's Baker Street: Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
Sheldon Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Johnny Cash "Hurt" is amazing. Not sure why, came off more real to me.... Quote
Sheldon Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Prince: Nothing Compares 2 U (I prefer the album version off of the Hits & B-Sides myself, couldn't find it though) 1 Quote
SneakyDave Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 This is most as good as the original. I really like the Cowboy Junkies. I read that Young wrote this for Lynrd Skynrd before Van Can't died in a plane crash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMvjfBdeiKw View: http://youtu.be/FMvjfBdeiKw Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone
Paul Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I'm not sure that it's better than the original, it's different... in a good way. Quote
13511 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Before anyone else says it.. I know I'm weird, but I am a fan of a lot of the music from the Glee Club series. They do several songs WAY better than the original artists. (yes, I like the message in this song) vs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WpUnOx3bdM View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WpUnOx3bdM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sW58kThy_w View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sW58kThy_w Quote

SneakyDave Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 Not a big Metallica fan, so I thought this was naturally better than their original version: Quote "I wonder if wife Susie knows about the vile crap he posts on his site and how it fits in with her "youth ministry"?" - Dr. Howard Rosenzweig, former owner of TheAdminZone

Paul Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Not better than the original because you can't really compare them, but a nice song anyway. 1 Quote

Paul Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 This isn't as good as the original but it's pretty f-ing cool that the Rolling Stones covered a Waylon Jennings song. Quote
