Holy crap, you've seen a lot of great bands/performers. I would love to see the Rolling Stones and quite a few others you have listed there.

-------------------

I've only been to two concerts and one was very recent, Santana. When I was much younger I saw Run DMC, Roger and LL Cool J together in concert.

Best concerts that I saw that I didn't expect much from:

Lyle Lovett and his "Large" Band - Was never into Lyle Lovett, but won some free tickets to his concert. This was the period of time he was married to July Roberts (ugh), but I became a big fan after that.

REO/Styx/Journey - These guys seem to tour every summer, and I went to their show with a few freinds. I've always been a Journey and REO fan, but I figured it couldn't be much of a performance 20-30 years after they were popular, but I'd actually like to see that arrangement again, even with the little

. Pretty decent show.

Warren Zevon - This was another free concert I got tickets to (mid 90's), at a dive concert hall in town. Zevon didn't even have a band, he just had a piano, and played all of his songs on it and sang. He said his band was pissed off at him at the time, so, in typical Zevon fashion, you weren't sure if his band was supposed to be there, or if he was messing with people.

Yeah, I'd like to see Bob Seger, but I haven't heard many good reviews of his most recent tours, if he's even been touring recently. Heart and Joan Jett are playing here in a couple of weeks I think. I'd like to get tickets to that show.

Don't really "do" concerts... but

Peter, Paul & Mary - free tickets to a "Under the Stars concert" where we got to sit on blankets about 50 feet from the stage - was really fun and back in the early 80's in Dallas

Doobie Brothers (opening act for the next group) - HD Anniversary bash in Dallas

Aerosmith - HD Anniversary bash in Dallas

We saw U2 again last night, this time in Buffalo, NY and Beck opened for U2. Beck is a skinny little guy, I think I could take him in a fight.

And U2. It doesn't look like it in the pic but we were pretty close to the stage.

It was. There were a lot of Beck fans and people weren't anxious for his act to be over so they could see U2, they were into his performance.

Yeah. He's kind of his own show. That's a little weird to have 2 big acts like that

I saw U2 during their POP MART tour, I think it was after their Mysterious Ways tour or album. My wife liked it more than I did. It was an outdoor arena, and the sound was horrible.

But I picked up the concert book for it because it looked pretty sweet.
