This addon is an modified version of what's running on this site. I'm releasing it here because GTB seems to think that I manually update the list of banned users on the home page of BASH.zone. And frankly, even if I did, who cares?why does that matter? This addon can be used to display the "member status" of anybody from a WBB installation. It's quite the niche addon, but maybe somebody can find some use for it. If you find any problems or bugs with it, post them here, or send me a PM. Requirements: XenForo 1.5 WidgetFramework 2.5.9 PHP 5.3 After installation, visit the options and set which members you'd like to display statuses of. There is also the ability to map those userid's from the WBB installation to your own XenForo site's member userid's. You can also choose how long to cache the results. After setting the options, import the widget_framework_GTB_Member_Status.xml from the Widget Framework XML directory, and a new widget renderer will be available to add to your forum_home, or whatever page you want to place the widget. EDIT: Uploaded version 01.00.04 to fix a bug displaying admins correctly, and display a member's rank when hovering over the member icon. [ATTACH=full]276._xfImport[/ATTACH]

I can't beg and plead with Gary enough to join this home away from home for him, so I thought maybe if I put it up to a vote, so that people can really show him how much we care about him, it might sway his opinion and we can let bygones be bygones. Gary finally lost it and went on a rampage... I just spent the last 15 minutes cleaning up his nonsense from my admin forum. I can't believe a 52 year-old man would act that way. I took screen shots of his posts and IP address :D. I knew Gary was a racist but had no idea just how deep it went. GTB recently (4/1/2016) opened chat back up on general-discussion.com after complaining about bugs and performance issues with previous incarnations with it. In a small twist, or perhaps an April Fool's Day experiment, he allowed guests to post to the chat, and obviously, ludicrous hijinks ensued. There's got to be at least a thread or a forum on any admin site to bash on vBulletin, so this is it. I'm well past the vBulletin fiasco of the last few years, but some people are still falling for the marketing of vB5, so I thought I'd some comments on it. In this post, vBulletin staff member Mark.b claims that people should judge a forum by what it provides TODAY, not what it has provided in the past, and I agree with him to a certain extent. The woes of running a successful forum - General Discussion But the bigger issue with vBulletin is the company itself. It's like saying that you'd make a member a moderator for your forum, ignoring any past history of them being a moderator. It's like promoting Brivium's XenForo addons, and ignoring the ugliness and the history behind that developer. So yes, I agree that forums should be held to their current standards, as well as the quality of support for that product, but you just can't ignore history. EDIT: I guess Mark.B didn't appreciate my opinion. Sometimes, sometimes words hurt!

This may be the longest stretch of time that GTB has allowed his general discussion forum (http://generaldiscussion.com) to go unpruned. Mood swings and fits of rage have forced him in the past to basically reset his forum without warning, and relaunch it later, removing any trace of past members of postings. I don't think anybody really knows why he does that, but that's just Gary being Gary I guess. Gary came close to closing his latest forum (built on Woltlab Burning Board) back in December, claiming it was going to close on December 7th, but it never came to pass. He changed his mind again, and deleted his "I'm closing again" announcement. One of his members claimed that Gary would have closed his current forum down "5 times already" if he didn't actually use a paid forum script, which may be a pretty low estimate. New TAB called Partners added leading to Admin-Hub forum - General Discussion How long will it be before he actually closes it again? Assuming he started this version around July 2015?
