1. Getting back to Lewisville PD... was one of the best (and "funnest") departments I ever worked for. Regular training, both classroom and practicals. If you worked power shift (7p-3a) you worked regularly with both the SWAT guys/gals and also the DWI/DUI/Traffic enforcement folks, both in training and also in actual duties. We were not civil service and had one of the best chiefs I've ever had the pleasure of working for. If you were "right" he'd back you all the way (saw him butt heads with the mayor after we arrested the mayors son for being in possession of over a pound of weed). That was also the department that I got my first Intoxilyzer certification with as the DUI/Traffic officer that was a certified operator got tired of coming in and running the regular DWI's for me and being taken away from his duties. Ended up they sent me for Intoxilyzer certification so I could run my own tests on arrests and also for any other that patrol arrested while I was on and Steve could keep working on his assigned duties of traffic/DWI enforcement. It is also the department that sent me for my SFST and DRE training, receiving acknowledgement as an expert in that field with Denton County, which then followed me to my new department. That was the department I had left from when I went to the last one that I was involved in the shooting with... and the reason that I was so pissed at the lack of training that they offered the officers compared to what I had come into the department with. I flat out told Pat Henderson (the Chief at the time) that I felt like I had to come in and bat cleanup for his incompetent officers.
2. Ironic thing was, I didn't find out her relationship until after we broke up. She was rather a dead fish in some of the important aspects of a relationship.
3. You slept with her also?
4. Ahhh... you comments on the shooting ring a bell... you know, the ones that you denied happening and had to receive a major bitch slap over with proof that it did? And then began to try to obfuscate? Is your memory actually that short?
5. Well, I dated (in high school) the niece of Sam Walton... Poor @Sandyman.... doesn't even realize that discoursing with your son-in-law who was a manager at a major Lowes (and decided to enter a field that paid more) isn't a valid basis of factual information. I'm pretty sure as a manager, he was WELL aware of the training that his employees received, and that he received... but of course, all you can make is snide comments as other than that, you remain an empty suit.
6. Continual "safety training" is not the same as receiving training outside of the normal scope of job duties.. once more what "major" company do you work for, and feel free to elucidate on the extensive expert training that you receive. Nope, but he did state that they regularly received training... like on how to safely operate the fork lifts, how to safely lift heavy weight and such.... I can really see how that type of training could be used to increase your ability to make money.
7. You asked.. I clarified. Don't ask a question unless you want the answer. Now, which branch of the SS did your relatives serve in? :imp:
8. Then, once more, feel free to remind me... which multi-billion dollar company do you work for that you receive extensive professional training with? You should have no issues providing that... or do you chose to pull a Trump/Gulliani on your answer?
9. Well, doubt that, as we had regular training at Lewisville PD (monthly classes and quarterly drills). You see, Lewisville had it's own training academy with TCLEOSE certified trainers, and our agency provided training for may of the departments in Denton, Tarrant and Dallas counties. When I went to work there, Ted Gibson was the Sgt. in charge of training.. and that's ALL he did.... and I worked with Lewisville PD for over 9 years... and actually applied what we were taught, unlike most military police..... And once more, that's from an Officer who retired from the military and served the majority of her time as in the MPC. She said it was really rather boring as they didn't have much to typically do on base.
10. Then feel free...what major company do you work for... last time I remembered you mentioning, you worked for a small company that was specific to a limited geographical area. You change jobs?
11. Really..that comment was direct from a Marine who left the service as an Major (who ended up for a while as an assistant-chief at one of the departments I worked for) and another who retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (he was a Sgt. and the head of the SWAT team at Lewisville). Think they are a pretty good base to depend upon when they said that their basic training was nothing exceptional.... they did say that they spent a more time on marksmanship and small group tactics than that chose the army.
12. Not waving on a flag... in the format presented by those, with the associated behavioral patterns by those presenting it is what places the negative connotation on it.... you see, like works, depending on how they are used, those symbols can stand for what they originally meant, or be bastardized.
13. Try making in the multi-billions a year, with a nationwide footprint. That's what I consider major.... those limited to a few stores, or a few states are minor chains.
14. Actually my father served on a DD in WW2 as a 5" loader, my step-grandfather was an aircraft mechanic working primarily on the P-47, one uncle worked in the merchant marines, and the other was in the army assigned to intelligence. And yes, I DO have an idea.. you see, I worked with several Marines (notice I didn't say "ex"... as once a Marine, always a Marine)... and we had extensive talks... but amazingly... their training is nothing "extraordinary" to get through basic.
15. Please feel free to elucidate to refute... as I stated, my son-in-law who was manager with a Lowes (a MAJOR company in the home improvement/supply field) was never offered any training other than the minimal to do his job I feel reasonably confident that you have not been. So, now let's use Pauls requirements.. provide your evidence of the extensive training that you get outside your field that allows you to further your knowledge.
16. Lie #1 (after his initial statement) REPORTER: The neo-Nazis started this thing. They showed up in Charlottesville. TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down, of to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. As I stated, the gathering was "permitted" by a known Alt-Right fanatic with known white supremacist ties. (now, once more, how many "perfectly fine" people are going to want to walk around associating with folks waving Nazi swastikas, throwing their Hitler salutes and changing a well known Nazi phrase?) As to the initial quote “You had some very bad people in that group,” Trump said, at one point, of the white supremacist protest. “But you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides,” he continued, Sorry.. but I don't consider folks that run with racists "very fine people". In fact, most "very fine people" I know of go OUT OF THEIR WAY to avoid ANY association with such. Is it an acceptable practice amongst the Trump devotees to hang with White Supremacists and think there's nothing wrong with that?
17. What "expert" training do they offer? Unless your's is a VERY specialty based one, most "home supply shops" don't offer a very extensive training field... and this comes from someone who's son-in-law was a manager with Lowes. The training he was offered by a national company was not anything to write home about... ergo his quitting and going back to school and learning how to repair medical instruments (remember my comment about furthering ones knowledge). I seriously doubt they offer specialist training like computer forensics that one can take out and utilize on ones own when no longer employed with them when one works in a totally different field (my first exposure to computer forensics training was as a patrol officer - not not a detective but patrol, which was not "within my job scope". So feel free to elucidate on the wealth of expert training that you receive, or can receive.
18. Nope.. but I have no problems with stating facts. If I make more than you do (even being retired) doesn't make me "better" than you... it simply means that I make more than you, and that I invested wisely and worked for employers with excellent retirement benefits. Money is just an object to obtain items that you wish to enjoy. It doesn't make one "better" than anyone else..... but being jealous of someone because they have knowledge and abilities they they do not is simply part of life.... one can always better themself... and that's simply what I've done throughout my life... found stuff that I enjoy, pursued it and enjoy the benefits that I reaped from those abilities. Those that are insecure in their position in life and their abilities (or lack thereof) will usually cry out with the very cry that you and Paul do.... suggestion.. further your education and knowledge into fields that can grant you the ability to gain more income and in an area that you enjoy. Even as far back as 1983 when working as a patrol officer, I was already playing with computers. I carried that knowledge and ability with me into the latter 3 departments I worked for, and used them to the benefit of those departments, and ultimately myself. Some of those things that I've pursued were with NO intent to "make money"... they were simply diversions from my other "work" that used to be a hobby. I'm well aware that I'm not the next Eric Clapton/Glen Campbell of guitars... but I do enjoy them and can afford that enjoyment. Same with astrophotography. And like any astrophotographer, I have EVERY right to bitch about how satellites are ruining the night sky and how it's not worth spending big bucks (which a GOOD cooled camera is, and the one I was looking at was on the LOW end of the spectrum - the damned things can approach 13K) on a camera if all you are going to get are regular streaks on your shots. Kind of like going out and buying a Scarab boat to use on a lake that someone has gone through and erected thousands of floating buoys in with micro WiFi transmitters on to provide WiFi service to those on the lake. Do I sometimes "brag"..sure, I'm human... but I've worked my ass off to get to where I am and gain the knowledge that I have... so I have no issue with letting others know. If it intimidates you... sorry, maybe you should have a little better self assuredness. I'm perfectly fine with my position in life, my circumstances and have NO desire to live for anyone else expectations. Don't like me... then tough luck. I'm not here to please you or any other person. I enjoy yanking your and Pauls chains because y'all are SO predictable and easy targets. One uber liberal gun grabber, and one rabid Trump fanatic.
19. He did originally... and then, when questioned on it specifically he offered "clarification". The group he was talking about containing the "fine people" consisted of many who were changing racist, anti-semitic and more remarks. In fact, the gathering was ORGANIZED by well known alt-right leader, who then after what happened tried to disavow any association with them - becoming a cast-out in their groups. The gathering consisted of Neo-Nazis, the KKK, neo-confederates, neo-fascists, and right wing militias. A LARGE amount of the flags and other media displayed with that group are WELL known to be white power related. There were VERY FEW "very fine people" participating in the Unite the Right rally... the majority of which are listed above. The rally was organized by Jason Kessler, who is an avowed alt-right participant, stating about the lady that was ran over by one of his attendees And to quote... “You had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists,” Trump said. “The press has treated them absolutely unfairly.” “You also had some very fine people on both sides”. Most "very fine people" that I know of would tend to avoid a crowd that showed the below type of behavior... simply not wanting to be associated with such. Especially when a large portion of the marchers were shouting “blood and soil"... a translation of a Nazi slogan. I ask you Sheldon... if you were in a group behaving like that, and displaying flags and more like shown... would you continue to "hang" with them if you did not already have those associative tendencies? Especially when taking the earlier photos into consideration?
20. Why do you keep editing your post. If referring to my one about Harris, it was never edited after your reply. You SURE you aren't slipping into the woodshed and sampling some shine? Now, if talking about the Hero Zero... yep, it was edited to provide you some clarification... but you hadn't replied to it prior to the edits.
21. Sorry... absolutely HATE Scotch. Never have developed the taste for it. And last I checked, Van Halen trended towards electric guitars (and not a Telecaster) instead of acoustic, and I don't teach anyone, as I'm still learning (and probably will be until I either lay down the guitar or die). Never have claimed to be a "web designer", and am FAR from a "perfect" human, and am occasionally incorrect... but by far and away I tend to provide facts.... maybe not facts one agrees with (especially when dealing with Trump and his ever present lies and "mispoke" statements), but facts that have supporting evidence just the same. As for Harley ridin'... had 2, but weren't fond of them. They tended to roast your balls in the Texas summer (specifically the rear cylinder) and would overheat easily if stuck in traffic. Liked the Goldwing and the FJR better, as they were heads and shoulders above the Hogs for performance and comfort riding. But I have been recognized by the judicial system as a forensic expert, the same in family violence matters, as well as DUI expert witness due to the fact that I was an certified (by State of Texas) Intoxilyzer operator, SFST and DEC/DRE trained and recognized as expert in those training fields. My employer spending around 20K on computer forensics training (specifically from CyberEvidence in The Woodlands Texas) does tend to make it so that one can become an expert in a field. Paul (and no, not out illustrious court idiot Paul) was the one that taught the majority of our courses. The prime tool we used was EnCase. Sorry your lumber supply company hasn't provided you with the same level of training. As for the last supper, the wine was a little weak and the bread bland. The company, other than that one traitor, was also a blast.
22. oooooooo... join the club... and I'm pretty sure that living in Texas, I have exposure to as many of those types (if not more-so) than you do. In fact, almost every construction job by a small contractor in Texas consists of a noticeable number of immigrants to this country, both legal and illegal. Roughly 1 in 6 residents here in Texas are immigrants (2018 stats). We've got WELL over 5 million immigrants in Texas, roughly 1.6 million of which are undocumented... The ones I know through our church outreach I respect a LOT more than I do you... as most of them that I know are WELL aware of the benefit of protecting oneself from the vermin that run around in our society. They aren't scared of an object that is very proficient at protecting themself and their family, sitting quaking in their boots hoping for the Police to protect them and not realizing that the Police have no DUTY to protect them, that it's their own responsibility. By the way.. YOU were the one that brought the "dick measuring" into the discussion of salary... Not I... so, put that in your meth pipe and puff away. Just because you finally figured out that IT work pays WELL more than driving a truck for someone else, don't blame me.
23. Odds are it's the ISD... if they immediately fire him, they admit that they hired an incompetent and may be afraid of lawsuits... that they would most likely win if strictly based upon his incompetent law enforcement decisions but still have to pay for defending against the suits... where they would have problems with is going to be their failure to follow their security plan.... leaving exit doors unlocked for convenience, not have taken the time nor funds to fix the classroom doors so that they could be secured. Was talking with Rudy (our Sheriff and neighbor) yesterday at the barber and we got to discussing this and even he said he could not understand how that Chief was still employed.
24. Remember, your "Hero Zero" called the white supremacist fine people until he was asked for specific clarification and he realized he might have just stepped deep into the doo and he then had to backtrack. And the majority of those white nationalist are STRONG Trumpty Dumpty supporters. Does the name Nick Futentes ring a bell? Does it sound like I, being a STRONG Trumpty Dumpty opponent meet the requirements of those white nationalist? I have no issues with dark skinned people or folks from south of the border.... unlike those White Nationalist and many of the Trumpty Dumpty supporters.
25. Most hated by the Trumpty Dumpty's... As of June 04, 2022. And wonder if any of that may have to do with the sexist, violent and misogynistic attacks against her on social media, usually presented by the Trumpty Dumpty fanatics, including his "fine people" in the white power brigades.
