Post yours here. It makes the forum look more active, and really, who wants to have to click on the last page of a thread just to add a picture? I share this, without an explanation

Just saw it in TV a new one is coming. A premature announcement, considering it can't be issued until 2030.... lol. Featuring a woman to show racial equality. Any guesses? Rosa Parks?

While some states in the US are legalizing marijuana, while there are other groups pushing laws to raise the minimum smoking age to 21. Is there a message conflict here? I don't think so. America's becoming a little more progressive in what it wants labeled "illegal", but, in my opinion, it is just leveling the playing field by restricting the evil sins of injestable drugs (marijuana, alcohol, nicotine) to the age of 21 and above. I don't know what age limits are in effect for vaping and weed, I assume those are limited to adults 21 years and older? Is raising the smoking age the right thing to do? For as long as most people can remember, the legal age t…

Anybody drive for these services? Any tips? I did a lot of research into both, and just recently started driving part time at nights while my kids sleep. In my area, it isn't quite busy enough to do it more than part time, but you can get some good rates when the bars close and there's surge pricing going on, for just a few hours of driving. I love driving, so that part doesn't bother me. I just hope I don't get a drunk throw up all over my car. Basically, if you have a decent midsize car (or SUV to offer "premium" level driving) that's clean and can pass a basic inspection, and have insurance, that's all you really need to start. Both Uber and Lyft run backgr…

I'm a little torn on my opinion of this. I'd certainly like my kids to be able to choose anything they'd like to pursue their interests, but I don't think I'd want them involved with "reporting" a suspected murder at a crime scene. I've got a daughter that spends an abnormally large amount of time watching videos about surgeries and surgical procedures, and I have to make sure that what she's watching is appropriate for her age, but I try to encourage her curiosity. But homicide reporting? That's a little bit too macabre for me. Even if she's not actually in the house where the murder happened. The homicide story and accompanying video: EXCLUSIVE: MURDER ON NI…

For a number of years now, EllisLab has been marketing their ExpressionEngine product as the be-all end-all in CMS management. A few years ago, they released their 2.0 version of the platform which was built upon CodeIgniter (priced at $299), I thought that was wonderful, but it turns out CodeIgniter was already dying a slow death, and EllisLab, it's maintainer, practically abandoned new development on it. The ExpressionEngine product stagnated, due to a number of reasons, and really didn't take off as much as EllisLab would have liked, even after offering a "personal" version to download for free. The officially licensed forum addon module and multi-site manager were…

Why are there garden variety of political spectrum and why are they fighting each other? Senseless fighting and senseless killing for senseless ideals, all because we cannot agree on the very basic concept of man and society. What is a man? What is a society? Why must society, government and state exist to begin with? We never really try to come to an agreement about them. Instead we fight and kill each other driven almost exclusively by our evolutionary biology tendencies. That's how the first civilization was started, the first kingdom and the first state. None of them was created from the deep thought of a Buddha sitting and meditating under the Bodhi tree. Carlin coul…
